Enquiries, quotes and bookings
Sending a website enquiry does not place an order, reserve equipment or make a payment. Availability, your chosen services and the full price need to be agreed. Your written quote and booking confirmation set out the particular booking; keep a copy of them.
A £50 booking deposit is a payment toward the agreed hire price, not the total price or an additional fee. Check the agreed payment schedule, service details and cancellation information before paying. Nothing on this page changes an existing booking’s agreed terms or removes your statutory consumer rights.
Information before you commit
Before accepting a booking or payment, the agreed information needs to make clear:
- the services, equipment and any customisation included;
- the event date, venue, hire window, setup, collection and any attendant arrangements;
- the complete payable price, delivery or travel charges and any other unavoidable costs;
- the deposit, remaining balance, payment dates and accepted payment methods;
- venue access, space, power and other practical requirements;
- cancellation, rescheduling, refund and complaint arrangements, including any applicable legal cancellation right or exception.
Contract information and confirmation should be supplied in a form you can keep, such as an email. A link to a changeable website is not a substitute for your agreed booking record.
Cancellation and refunds
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel or move a date. A deposit is not automatically non-refundable simply because it is called a deposit. Any amount retained or charged must have a fair contractual basis and reflect evidenced net losses, taking account of costs saved and reasonable opportunities to rebook. It must not compensate the same loss twice.
Where a statutory cooling-off right applies to a consumer distance contract for services, the cancellation period is generally 14 days from making the contract. Some dated leisure services and certain personalised goods have exceptions. We do not assume every equipment hire or event booking is automatically exempt: the rights and any applicable exception must be explained before you agree the booking.
If you expressly request work during a cancellation period, the legal requirements for starting early and any proportionate payment must be explained first. Nothing here removes rights concerning faulty goods, services not provided as agreed, or services not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
Where a legal cancellation right applies, you may use our cancellation notice template, but you do not have to use that exact form. Send your notice by email or post using the contact details above. The template does not decide whether a particular booking is exempt.
Problems, complaints and accessibility
If something is wrong, contact us with the booking reference, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and explain the next steps; your statutory remedies remain available.
If you need information in another accessible format or help making an enquiry, please call or write to us and explain what would help. We will consider reasonable adjustments. You do not need to send unnecessary medical information to ask for assistance.
Food-related extras
Chocolates and any food-based favours must not be assumed to be allergen-free. Product-specific ingredient and allergen information needs to be available before a food order is agreed and when it is delivered. Tell us about relevant dietary requirements before booking, and check the information for the actual items supplied.
Website content and external services
You may view the website and save information for planning a booking. Ask before commercial reuse of photographs, artwork or other protected content. Third-party marks belong to their owners; references to products or booth styles do not claim endorsement of our hire business by those brand owners.
External profile and message links lead to other services with their own terms. Email services are always an explicit choice; only “My email app” invokes your device’s selected handler. See our privacy notice and cookies information.
